Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Therapy should be reachable. That starts before the first appointment, with a website you can actually use, whatever you are using to read it. This page says what we hold this site to, where we know it falls short, and how to tell us when something doesn’t work.

The standard we aim for

We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice, and it covers things like colour contrast, keyboard operation, text alternatives for images, and clearly labelled forms.

We consider the site substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Substantially” is doing real work in that sentence: we test every page we publish, but no site is ever finished, and automated testing catches only part of what matters.

What we do

  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
  • Text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast minimum; borders, buttons and focus rings meet 3:1.
  • Images carry text alternatives, and images that are purely decorative are marked so screen readers skip them rather than reading them out.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced and tied to the field they belong to.
  • Headings follow a real outline, so you can navigate by heading rather than reading top to bottom.
  • Animation respects your system’s “reduce motion” setting.
  • A “skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them:

  • Third-party content. The spam-protection widget on our contact form is provided by Cloudflare and we do not control its markup. If it blocks you from submitting the form, please call or text us instead. We would rather take your inquiry by phone than lose it.
  • Images added over time. Photographs and article images are added by our own staff through our content system. If you find one missing a useful description, tell us and we will fix that image specifically.
  • Documents. Any PDF we link to may not meet the same standard as the pages themselves. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.

How we test

Automated checks run against every page of the site. Because automated tools miss roughly half of real accessibility problems, we also test by keyboard and with a screen reader, at both desktop and phone widths.

A note about this site and your care

This is a general-information website, not a patient portal. If you need an accommodation for your actual care, tell us when you get in touch. An interpreter, a different appointment format, materials in another format, an accessible entrance: say the word and we will arrange it. Our office details are on our contact page.
