Gottman Couples Therapy
Communication. Conflict. Friendship + Intimacy. Trust. Shared Meaning.
Built on decades of research into what actually makes relationships last, the Gottman Method gives couples concrete tools to manage conflict, deepen friendship, and rebuild trust.
We start by understanding where things stand, then work the specific areas that need it, turning “we keep having the same fight” into a shared language for repair.

Who it’s for
Couples who want practical, research-based tools, whether you’re working through recurring conflict, rebuilding trust, or simply strengthening a good relationship.
How it works
We begin with a structured assessment of your relationship’s strengths and stuck points, then build skills in communication, conflict, friendship, and shared meaning.
Common questions
What makes the Gottman Method different?
It’s grounded in decades of research on what keeps relationships healthy, turned into concrete, teachable skills you can practice at home.
What does the assessment involve?
A joint first session, questionnaires you each complete, a brief individual conversation with each partner, then a feedback session where we map your strengths and stuck points and agree on the plan together. Nothing is sprung on anyone.
Is it only for couples in trouble?
No. Some couples come in gridlocked, and some come to strengthen a relationship that’s basically good. Before a wedding, a baby, a move. The research tools work at both ends.
Can Gottman work be combined with EFT?
Yes, and our couples therapists often do: Gottman for the concrete skills and structure, EFT for the attachment feelings underneath the recurring fight. The blend is chosen around the two of you.
