Trauma-Informed Treatment
Trauma. PTSD. Hypervigilance. Safety. Feeling Disconnected. Survival Patterns.
Trauma-informed care means safety comes first, every time. We move at the pace your nervous system says is okay, and we never ask you to relive more than you’re ready to.
We understand symptoms as adaptations, not flaws, and build the ground beneath you before any deeper processing.

Who it’s for
Anyone carrying the effects of trauma, hypervigilance, feeling disconnected, or survival patterns that once protected you and now get in the way.
How it works
We build safety and stability first, treat your symptoms as information about what you survived, and only move toward deeper processing when you’re ready. You set the pace.
Common questions
Will I have to talk about the worst things that happened?
Only when and if you’re ready. Trauma-informed care is built around safety and choice, we never push you to relive more than your nervous system can hold.
What does "trauma-informed" actually mean?
It means the whole treatment assumes your symptoms make sense. Hypervigilance, numbness, and staying guarded were once protection, so we work with your nervous system instead of against it: stability first, processing only when you’re ready.
How long does trauma therapy take?
It depends on what you’re carrying. A single recent event resolves faster than years of layered experience, and the early stabilization phase is real progress even before any deeper processing starts. We’ll give you an honest read after the first few sessions.
Does trauma therapy work by telehealth?
Yes, carefully paced. Some people actually find it easier to do this work from their own home. We offer it in our Long Beach office or by video anywhere in California, whichever lets you feel most grounded.
